Purple Red’s poster for the US release of the French feature starring Audrey Tautou: the story of Coco Chanel who rose to the heights of the fashion world.

Coco avant Chanel was released in April 2009 in France and went on to an international release.

When we created this image, we wanted it to be fresh and delicate. We used a still photography in which we integrated some of the fabric Coco Chanel used for many of her designs. We also picked the world infamous “vieux rose” and replicated the brand classic typography for the title treatment.

Finally, we added some colors, blurs and lights to the picture to emphasize the emotion carried by the character.
