An Award-winning script looking website for the Page International Screenwriting Awards.
The main challenge was to make a text oriented website more visually attractive, on a very tight budget.
The solution was to design a “shell” that would bring a flavor of Hollywood, of script writing and of lights.
The main text is displayed on a white section that represents the perforated pages used for script submission (the script writing format is very strict and MUST follow specific guidelines in order for the document to be considered). The black background reveals a movie clap, the Hollywood hills and plenty of search lights, as symbol of the quest for the next best screenwriter.
The call for action inviting contestants to submit their scripts is omnipresent at the top of the white “page”.
The menu is simply displayed on the left, below the logo for the current year. A few additional menu items sit at the bottom of the page.

2) The web page itself needed to be of fixed height in order to be easily printed (a scroll would be added to long text sections).
3) 4) 5) 6) The template supports all other text heavy pages, switching between one or two column of space optimization when needed.
